Title Sequence Analysis.

Analysing the opening sequence of 'Sleeping with the Enemy'.

The production company of this film is 20th Century Fox. I think the purpose of the film company being at the start of the film is so it can start the introduction to the stars of the film and the rest of the production company.

Film titles most often appear during the middle - after the opening credits. The fonts used during the title sequences are usually sharp, capitalised and formal - neat and straight to the point.

Timeline of the film opening:

1. 20th Century Fox
2. The Production - 'A Leonard Goldberg Production'
3. The Film - 'A Joseph Ruben Film'
4. Then the stars name - 'Julia Roberts' 'Patrick Bergin'
5. Music 'composed and conducted'
6. Casting people - 'Karen Ren'
7. Costume Design
8. Film Editor
9. Production Designer
10. Director of Photography
11. Executive Producer
12. 'Based upon the novel' - only if the film has been made after inspiration from a film
13. Screenplay
14. Produced by ...
15. Directed by ...
