Editing Process

I've been editing the thriller opening now for about a month and these are some screen grabs of different sections of my thriller that show the skills I've gained.

Using Final Cut pro throughout the editing. This shows the clips on the left, however this shot you can see Patrick in the background which wasn't supposed to happen. This clip was then a rough and wasn't used.

As you can see, Patrick is still in this shot and now the tripod is also. These clips were not able to be used. The 'canvas' area shows frame of which my titles will be seen on the screen.

This shot shows the whole timeline with the edited clips on and titles. DIFFICULTY.

This small shot shows the effects I have used on certain clips and certain transitions i have used to create a suspenseful mood for my thriller.

I added the large bars called "Rectangle" at the top of my timeline which added two black bars at each end of the screen creating the film effect.
I took this screen grab to show how I made titles for the thriller. I enjoyed this part of the editing as I enjoyed picking the  font, colour and position of the text.

This shot executes the title frames I used to make sure the text was seen on screens wider than a Mac.

When some of the shots were a little shakey due to my unsteady hand whilst filming, I used the tab at the top of the 'canvas' and pressed 'image wideframe' which meant i was able to drag her face down to create a steadier shot.

These show the 'title-safe' frames on the black screen. :)

For my title I wanted to see if I could use Livetype to create a cool title that executed my intentions for the film. This was hard. *cries*

The title looked so beautiful and the transition it used to appear on the screen was great however there was no way I could change the colour from It's definate red. This upset me.

A few different styles I looked at however none were sophisticated enough.

This was cool, but yet again the colour wasn't ideal.

LOL blooper image: just as we were filming actress 'Talia' walk towards the bench, members of the public took it upon themselves to sit on our bench.

I just thought I'd show how effective Final Cut is. This shot looked beautiful when I filmed it at the time, then I put it on the computer it was just disgraceful - LOOK HOW BENT IT IS.
