Evaluation Question 4

Our film, 'the diary of Sarah Louise' has many points to analyse on who would be the target audience for our film. The film opening only involves two characters and a dog, but with those characters the movie can be appealing for both  women and men as the opening has women and men also. The man in our film would be appealing to women as women like men and men like women.
As both of the characters are young, the film automatically appeals to the younger audience. A young audience would be roughly 15 to 25/30.

This is the sort of audience we are targetting
Another taget audience we have is women in general. This is our target audience as one of our film's genre's is romance. Romance attracts a lot of women as it's mainly women that enjoy films that are soft and about love.

Apart from romance, our film is also an psychological film, as the film is psychologically demanding, the film could also interest men in watching this type of film as it is not an straight forward film. The films psychological aspect could attract older audience's as older men and women tend to enjoy films that are harder to understand.

Another very big aspect of the film is the mise-en-scene which is being used in the film. The mise-en-scene attracts a large audience usually. The opening of the film as we can see is in a really urban area, the man we see in the film is wearing really urban clothes, a log jacket, he's walking a staff. All these little things is what contributes to the audience the film attracts.

Another part of the mise-en-scene which really sets the target audience is the name and what is in the film. The 'Diary' of Sarah-Louise. By that being the name and the audience seeing a diary a lot in the beginning, we are automatically aiming the film at girls and women as they love to watch films about romance\love.
