Student Film

The student film I have chosen to study is 'Violet', bye Nathan Miller and his group.

Mise-en-scene
The mise-en-scene used in a film can determine weather a film looks good. In violet we see a large use of mise-en-scene to determine how it looks, there is a lot of blood used, not only outside but inside also.In this image we see a hand which is covered in blood. The mise-en-scene in this sene is the bath and the artificial blood used. The bath is a good place to allow the murder scene to be in. The imitation blood on the hand allows the scene to not just be more realistic but for the audience to be freaked out more, to an extent where they think the blood is real and there has actually been a murder.
